Website design choices

Choose a website template you can make your own

A customisable website template gives your business a considered layout without starting a design from scratch. The right choice makes your information easier to understand and your next customer action easier to take. Use your own content to compare designs, rather than judging only their example photographs.

1. Start with the customer’s next step

Write down what a first visitor needs to know: what you offer, where you work, how much a service costs and how to book or enquire. That gives you a practical way to judge a template. A beautiful opening image still needs a clear service menu and visible contact route.

Analogy IT’s standard platform is for independent appointment businesses using one shared calendar. Every design has Home, Services, About, Contact and Booking pages. The catalogue displays products; it does not include a product checkout, stock management or separate staff calendars.

2. Compare ten design directions

Studio uses an editorial salon and wellness layout with an immersive photograph and appointment card. Atelier brings terracotta and a gallery-like canvas to creative and personal services. Bloom offers softer lavender styling for care and wellbeing.

Orbit uses a crisp blue, organised layout for consultants and professional services. Kinetic combines charcoal and lime for fitness and performance businesses. These are starting points, not rules about your business category. Browse the fictional examples and choose the direction that supports your content and customers.

3. Replace example content with your business

Your own name, tagline, descriptions, logo, photographs, services and opening hours make the website yours. Explain the experience customers can expect and use accurate details on every page. Give service descriptions enough substance to distinguish the appointments you offer.

The template sets the layout and design direction. Editing your content does not turn it into an unrestricted visual editor or a bespoke design. Optional AI can help draft wording and suggest one of the supported designs after email verification and consent; review and explicitly save its suggestions.

4. Check your own preview at different sizes

Try a standard draft without signing up or entering a card. Create an account to save it and add your real products or services, photos and opening hours. In the signed-in design studio, compare designs using your saved business content. Trying a design does not save it: use its Save design button when you have chosen. Premium personalisation requires paid access. Check Desktop, Tablet and Mobile views, then open each customer page.

  • Make sure a long business name remains readable.
  • Check that important parts of your photographs survive the crop.
  • Read product or service prices, appointment durations where relevant, and contact details on mobile.
  • Follow the navigation and find the shop contact or booking action without guessing.

5. Understand launch and later changes

The standard launch is A$500 plus A$39/month hosting. Online checkout takes A$539 upfront, including the first hosting month, then A$39/month until cancelled. No GST is charged. Review the complete saved preview and authorise publication before payment. Your custom-domain connection is assisted and needs its own ownership, DNS and HTTPS checks.

You can save another design later while keeping your business data. Once published, saved edits update the live website immediately, so check changes carefully. Extra modifications, domain renewals and bespoke work are scoped and quoted separately; they are not unlimited additions to the launch package.

6. Choose a personal build for a different scope

A template is a useful fit when the supported pages and appointment workflow cover your needs. If your brand requires a new layout, more pages or specialist integrations, describe those requirements to Prajwol. He personally builds more in-depth websites under a separately agreed quote. Start with the customer problem and the required feature so you can compare the scope fairly.
